Moms on the Loose

Jun 4, 2018

If your pediatrician has ever asked you to stop calling the nurse hotline or someone has explained to you when you should and shouldn’t visit the ER, this episode is for you.

Today, Brittany and Betsy meet with Tori, a friend, registered pediatric nurse and badass mom. Tori and her husband own several pediatric urgent care clinics, and she gets unusually excited about a “bad” flu season. She’s seen sick and injured kids for just about everything, including one patient who caught a giant fish lure through the eyebrow.

Thank goodness for Tori, school nurses and nurse hotlines, without them, Brittany, Betsy, and their children would have faced the flu, appendicitis, ER visits, and head lice all on their own.

We want to hear about the moments you were super glad you had a nurse for a friend. Tell us what about the stomach bugs, the lice outbreaks, and the panicked trips to the hospital. Find us on Instagram @themomsontheloose and tag us in your posts. Until next time, we’ll be on the loose.

Special thanks to Torie Pearce for being on the show!
